Reminiscence and Resolutions Challenge

The Tibetan Fountain of Youth

Based on ancient traditions of Tibetan monks and brought to West by Peter Kelder this session consists of 6 classes of 45 mins each.

Its almost the end of 2015 and the new year is peeking from around the corner. The winter in Chicagoland has been benevolent and awarded many warm days.

This club level challenge will warm our hearts as much as our souls (soles) and we look back and then move forward in our journey to good health via Happy Feet Walkers Club.

We will have 2 winners at the club level for this challenge. Everyone is eligible including subgroup leaders.

Challenge details:

Week 1: Reminiscence ( Dec 20th – Dec 25th)

Submit a collage each day (without fail) with the following elements.

  1. A clear image of the number of steps completed on current day. There is no limit upper or lower for number of steps you can complete.
  2. A clear current day selfie or picture of you. Extra credit for adding a holiday item to selfie such as Christmas Tree background, holiday décor etc.
  3. The most important part. A reminiscence of the year 2015. Anything that you feel defines the year 2015 for you. It can be related to happy feet or it can be related to your life. Anything big or small that you will remember or want to remember for years to come. Ex: met milestones with spouse, created new walk milestones,  Bought a home/car, changed jobs, new member in family like child/pet, met someone after many years, made a lifestyle change and stuck to it, renewed friendships, went on vacation etc. etc.
  4. Clearly indicate date and subgroup.

 

Saturday Walk Collage (December 26th 2015)

Create and submit you best weekend group walk collage. All types of elements accepted!

Week 2: Resolutions (Dec 27th – Jan 1st)

  1. A clear image of the number of steps completed on current day. There is no limit upper or lower for number of steps you can complete.
  2. A clear current day selfie or picture of you. Extra credit for adding a holiday item to selfie such as New Year 2016 décor etc.
  3. The most important part. A resolution for the year 2016. This does not have to be fancy or out of the world. Something small that you think you can do and stick to. Each day pick something you would want to accomplish sometime in 2016. Example: Cut down on sugar, be more active, submit a collage everyday, love more intensely etc. etc.
  4. Clearly indicate date and subgroup.

Total Points Per day:

  1. Collage will be accepted only if all 4 minimum requirements are met. (4 points)
  2. Extra bonus points for creative selfies as mentioned above.
  3. Extra bonus points for publishing collage on personal FB and promoting Happy Feet by tagging #happyfeetwalkersclub and #HFWC.
